Hippa rules are changing this fall and new fines are being imposed on Health Care providers for soliciting anyone who has chosen to 'Hippa Opt-Out'. The fines will range from $100 to $50,000 for the first offense and will have the ability to reach $1,500,000 by the third offense. Providing a way to lock down Solicit Codes once they've been entered (only the Supervisor ID would be able to update it) would provide the assurance that Hippa Opt-Out settings would/could not be tampered with or changed by accident.
Why isn't this even under consideration yet?
We need this!!!!!! Solicit codes are too important and need to be added/removed correctly. It would be great if this were a separate field in security so only properly trained staff can add/remove.
