Add 'All Channels' to channel list in Consent

The ability to create a blanket opt-out for a particular subject such as fundraising or mentoring regardless of channel could more easily be managed with an 'All Channels' entry in the channels list. Particularly since the consent configuration allows you to add/remove multiple solicit codes with one consent record. Currently we need to add 4 different consent 'Opt-Out's or use another channel (such as 'Other') to opt out of a particular subject.

Have just installed patch 12 and I see what you're talking about. They've added extra functionality behind the 'ALL' channel to process all business rules that fit the category supplied. If there's no category, I assume it processes all business rules!

All I was asking for was an entry in the channel list that was functionally identical to the other entries. I presume they did this due to some sort of incompatibility with NC or something but it's no real use to us in it's current form.

That sounds like a bug because the system should require a configuration business rule for that combination of 'All' channel and no category in order to add solicit codes. have you raised it with BB?

Be careful what you wish for. This seems to have been done in the latest patch - we now have ALL in the channel list and it is a nightmare because if selected with no category it adds every single consent to the record - including conflicting consents. I cannot delete, disable or customise it so there is no way to stop people from selecting it.

Better still, make the list editable so we can choose how we manage our data.
