We store merged record ID numbers as an alias so we can locate the correct donor record if we receive the old number later.

The 'Check aliases' box is grayed out when you enter data into the 'Constituent ID' search box so we cannot just search once for merged IDs. We have to search again in the Last/Org name field if the number is not found with Constituent ID.
