When adding a constituent via integration (e.g. turning a non-constituent relationship into a constituent) RE will allow users to save the constituent even though required fields are not filled in. This compromises the quality of the data.
A message should pop up warning users that they cannot save without a particular field just like it would if they were creating the record normally.
So odd that they would recognize this as a bug but not do anything about it....
JoAnn, what are you referring to when you say you can't query on attribute.? You should be able to query on whether or not a constituent record has a attribute. In a constituent query you would go to Attributes>Category and type the name of the attribute in the Value box. Do you mean its in a relationship attribute rather then a constituent attribute?
I think I got an answer to this once... They said that because the relationship is already a record, RE doesn't recognize it as creating a new record.
When marking record as deceased which prompts creating record for spouse relationship, the spouse record can be saved without required fields also. Very frustrating as can't just query for records with that field blank when it's an attribute and not on their record - takes creative querying to find.
