When opening schedule for a posted recurrign gift, end date field is grayed out. Our recurring gifts by definition are open ended. Some last a few months. Some years, even over 10 years. Don't understand why when constituent is ending their recurring gift payments I can not just edit the schedule to put in an end date. Only way to get an end date and thus no future transactions is to go through the additional steps of creating a new amendment. Make editing schedule an option for recurring gifts just as it is for re-scheduling a pledge.
JoAnn, what about just changing the status to completed. This has never been a problem for me.
Changing the end date to completed or terminated does not change anything on payment schedule. Gift still shows as having next transaction and transaction amounts. When running a report/query for records with transactions due these records are still pulled in regardless of the gift status.
