To alleviate confusion, it would be great if the Gift Type 'Recurring Gift' could be renamed to 'Recurring Gift Schedule'. Some staff in our office have made the mistake of thinking "Recurring Gift' was actually a payment instead of the schedule (including our bookkeeper, albeit he was new to RE).
Yes, I have the same issue. For several years what should have been "recurring gift pay-cash" was all listed as "Recurring gift" and there were never any "Recurring Gift Pay-Cash" types entered. Several years later, what was actually new "recurring gift pay-cash" was randomly linked to the very old "Recurring gifts" that were actually not supposed to be recurring gifts. It is a big mess now and difficult to clean up. Changing the name of "Recurring Gift" would probably help avoid confusion in the future.
We have had the same issue in our office. I definitely think this change should be made!!!
