"receipt and acknowledge" in one step

Mark gifts Receipted and Acknowledged in one step

I would like to be able to mark gifts as acknowledged when I create the receipt, especially when I am creating a consolidated receipt from Mail / Receipts where the letter is merged from the receipt and no acknowledgement is required to produce the letter.

Currenly I then run an export from Donor Acknowledgement Letters just to update them to Acknowledge but this two step process wastes time.

    If you enter the gifts via batch and receipt/acknowledge them all, you could add the acknowledge field to your batch and enter acknowledged there. Might save a step. We've just accepted fact that payments are receipted not marked as acknowledged and pledges are acknowledged. But it's not the best to the un-informed RE user

    We send acknowledgements or receipts depending on the gift criteria. For us is just understood that a gift will typically be one or the other.
