As the number of packages increases, importing of new ones has grown slower. We have an appeal with 17523 Package records. It's been taking about 2 minutes and 30 seconds per Package to import new ones.

As a test, I manually deleted hundreds of packages we no longer needed (manually because there's no way to delete select packages based on a query). After deleting hundreds of Packages, the speed of importing improved by a few seconds per Package.

It seems like Packages may not be indexed. But whatever the issue, could Packages be made to import as quickly as other data?
