Currently, there is no way to void a gift from the donor's record once it has been committed and posted to the GL. So if we have a situation where we have to go back and move a a record from one donor to another (if a mistake was made), the only way to do it is to completely delete the old record and add it to the new one. This can be edited and explained in the new record, however once it is gone from the old donor, there would be no way to every know that previous donations were applied incorrectly. If there was a "void gift" option as well as a "delete gift", that would be helpful for record keeping purposes.
