    This sounds like a glitch to me or that you're possibly using the wrong delete option?  I have removed/deleted many soft credit rows in my lifetime with RE, and this has never happened to me.  Recurring gifts, now, that's a whole 'nother story.

    Sounds like you're clicking the wrong option. Have you tried right clicking/selectng row for soft credit to delete and then delete?

    In a similar note - I once deleted a Recurring Gift set-up and it deleted all the gifts. Gifts made in a gift record should be set in STONE and never deleted or at least with several prompts asking whether or not it is ok, before deleting the whole gift record without a single notice.

    Great idea! The only way to learn this lesson currently is through experience, and if you have 100 soft credits on a gift.. that is definitely the hard way!
