Verification & Record of email receipts sent

We send many email receipts in a month - but this past week I received an error message in the middle of the process of emailing hundreds of receipts. Because there is no way to verify if an email was actually sent, I do not know the final results of that mailing - whether all or just some of them were delivered.
I would love 2 things:
1. A report that includes details about the number of emails sent, number that bounced (ideally even # opened etc) - and ability to get a list of these email addresses as well! (ie. VERIFICATION that the email receipt was sent.)
2. A history of email receipts sent that is part of the Constituent's record - simply a listing for each email address that includes stats like:
Sent Count
Bounce Count
First Send
Last Send
View Count
Last View
Status: Active or Inactive

I know this is all possible....because I had both of these in another non-profit database and I MISS this extremely helpful and convenient information.

If Raiser's Edge wants to be cutting edge, I feel that it is necessary to have top notch options and information available for paperless options like email receipts and email pledge acknowledgements.

I had a similar problem yesterday too. When sending email receipts, something happened to my computer and I had no way of verifying that the email receipts were actually sent to the donor.

I don't use this a lot, but most of the time, I see a copy of the email in my sent folder. Could just be our email system.

In our situation we are unable to see the emails in the sent folder. We use Outlook 2010, so if there is a way to be able to set up the emails so they populate the sent folder, I would love to know that process.

I don't know how it works, or even if it's all the time. I've only used it a little bit. But I have sent sent messages from e-receipts in the sent mail

I can't believe that RE has no tracking capability for e-receipts.
