When responding to an email received from a constituent, I have to copy and paste that email into an action. If I want my reply recorded in RE, I have to generate the message from RE. If I do that, it limits my ability to see any other data on the record that might be useful in the reply (such as giving history, spouse name, relationships, address, etc.). I'd like to be able to reply to the donor's original message in Outlook AND send it to RE as an action at the same time, rather than start the message in RE and then go to Outlook. Another vendor provides this functionality and it would help ensure all important messages are track in RE if that function was available here, too.
You can do this already if you have the RE add in in your Outlook. You just send your reply and then add it as an action with one click.
ALSO on this same subject - I would like to see the option to choose the action type - currently the action is created - but with either no type at all or the default type set in business rules; would be nice if the action record opened and allowed you to choose the type rather than change it after saved.
