LYBUNT report should include or indicate LYBUNT soft credit recipients associated with donors who gave this year

If the spouse or associated organization made a gift this year, the soft credit recipient gets excluded from the LYBUNT report if soft credit gifts to both. The soft credit recipient gets included in the LYBUNT report if soft credit gifts to donors. However, the LYBUNT report should indicate that the included constituent, though technically a LYBUNT, is a soft credit recipient. Or could Blackbaud add an option which allows the report to include three constituent categories: LYBUNT donors, LYBUNT soft credit recipients, and LYBUNT soft credit recipients soft credited for gifts made by donors in the current year.

Correct. The # does indicate a soft credit recipient if you run the report Soft Credit Gifts to Both. However, if you run the report Soft Credit Gifts to Donor, XYZ Corporation who made a gift this fiscal year will receive the credit for the gift, and therefore, will not appear on the LYBUNT report. However, John Smith, owner of XYZ Corporation, receives a soft credit for the gift. John Smith has not yet given personally this year. Therefore, when soft credit gifts to donor, John Smith's appears on the LYBUNT report. His last gift of $1,000 from last fiscal year appears. However, no # or anything else indicates on the report that John's company has given in this fiscal year.

I have had such a problem with this. Queries are not right. Phoneathon sheets not right. LYBUNT should exclude soft credit spouses from reporting.
