I would like to be able to make the position field in "Jobs" searchable from a table in the same way the other fields on the New Job window are. So, for example, I can say that the volunteer is helping in department X, with group Y, doing job Z. (My volunteer in Education is helping with the Enabling Garden Class as a Facilitator as opposed to her friend who is helping with the same group but as an Assistant.)  And if we could set defaults for these in the same way we can with the Appeals it would be really helpful.  You'll find that most orgs that have volunteers will want to have data entry help esp. with the volunteer timesheets. With this being the case, it's really desirable to have the system as mistake-proof as possible for data entry. Having the option to change the open text field to a pull down/searchable/deafult list would be exceptional.
