The tool would allow phone volunteers to add constituent information that could be held in a queue to be matched to database records by staff, or to be created if no record exists. Volunteers would also be entering gift information at the same time. Credit card transactions could be submitted immediately (charged for cash, tested for pledge or recurring gift). Gift information could then be pulled into a batch to be committed.
These operations are things that happen in Online Express now, so it might be relatively easy to develop such a tool. The advantages for organizations are: eliminating paper pledge forms, immediate authentication and tokenization of credit card information, the ability to have staff review and link records to the database (instead of giving volunteers access), and charge processing through BBMS.
