gift batch defaults

There is no way to set defaults for the selected data entry fields when creating a new gift batch, without either having to 1) load from an existing batch or 2) select the data fields individually with each new batch. It would be helpful to add an admin or config setting that allows defaults to be set for the gift batch data entry fields, so that all new batches are capturing consistent information.

    Make a template batch that has all the fields for your consistent information. Name it as Template ABC or Default XYZ. And use that as the batch when you select "load from existing batch". I've done this for years. I have a template for gifts to main office and one for gifts to each branch. Constituent templates for new donors, new prospects, solicitors etc. While defaults would be nice they would change for most users so batch template is the next best option I think.
