I know this is not a new issue - and I have voted for others suggestions to repair this problem over the years - and I can't believe that we are still not able to pull the field Total Years Giving in to a query or report from the gift summary of an individual. This seems like a simple task that Blackbaud should be able to include in the Summary for Gift in a query. Instead I have to export complicated data into Excel and use the count formula. . . and, to try to explain this cockamany process to others who think I should be able to just push a button and produce the Annual Report - - - well, it is just nonsense!! And, using the Consecutive Years is also unacceptable, if a donor gives for 30 years, skips a year and then gives for two more years - the consecutive years field provides the donor with a slap in the face "2 Years Consecutive Giving"! I would really love to see this as an optional column in the Giving Category Report.
