Due to a very poorly done system conversion several years ago, we have a lot of valid mailing addresses that are on records but not marked primary, and the primary address record has a blank address but valid phone numbers and emails. I understand that a "merge address records" option would not be possible, but it would be great to have an option to "send phone types to [select another address record]" or, if nothing else, the ability to copy and paste all the phone types at one time. There is too much room for error when copying and pasting individual phone #'s, and also way too many clicks involved. This option would also be helpful when someone moves but is keeping the same phone numbers and email address. If you want to keep a record of the previous address, you have to mark it as previous, enter the new address as primary, and copy and paste all those new phone types manually.
I think that the #1 suggestion in this database to remove the phone numbers altogether from the addresses would solve this problem.
Also it looks like you are not using copy preferred to alternate option which will allow you to make a copy of the address that can be your historical copy and then you cas simply edit the existing address to make it the new preferred address. This a) keeps all the phone numbers and you can choose to delete if no longer valid and b) keeps linked addresses properly updated.
