Non-profits have to track the fair market value of goods and services received by donors for each gift, as it is a required field on their tax receipts. Normally, I would take the difference between two fields (Gift Amount & Receipt Amount) to find the FMV and then issue tax receipts manually, however when trying to use NXT's receipting feature, it became clear that setting up an email receipt template would require a FMV field, which did not exist. The only way around this would be to start using the Receipt Amount field as the FMV field (instead of the tax-deductible amount), but that would be inconsistent with our historical data. I will continue to use Google Sheets to mail merge our tax receipts until this field is added in NXT.
