Why put effort into an app, the existing mobile functionality is far too limited and buggy (based on experience of android and iphone apps). And what plans are there to take into account other technologies that might supersede native apps (thinking HTML5 here).

I have several colleagues with the iPad and they would like to see this happen.

It is now January 2014 with no ipad release that I have seen... Also, what about other tablets? For instance we have multiple android tablets that we purchased for events and now we can't use the RE: Events module on them!
