So the iPad app for event management is great, but I just thought of a place that it could be improved to become vital. Next year we will be giving bus tours. People will register via NetCommunity Spark, or over the phone in Raiser's Edge. Before the bus leaves, our guide could check in the participants to know exactly who made it on the bus before leaving. Then as people get off the bus at a wine or cheese tasting location, etc. we would need to check back in the exact static list of people who boarded the tour before launch.

Thus, the data structure for an Event would need to have sub-types like Phone's are to Addresses. The event has the template, and the participants hold the record of True/False for the sub-events.

This type of data could be generalized for other things like a rafting company could use it to run a checklist on each person to make sure loose jewelry wasn't present and the right life jacket was donned. Or even for lectures so that a participant who bought merch in advance would have the list of things they needed to receive.
