All solicitors are now added to gift in batch-allow choosing specific solicitor
When we have the solicitor field in a batch, tabbing through that field adds all solicitors to the gift. We need to have the ability to choose none, some, or all solicitors.
It's cumbersome but you do have that ability when you click on the manifying glass or go to Gift > solicitor. Wish there could at least be an icon like there is for match/sc/schedule/split/etc.
(It only auto fills the solicitors assigned to that fund/appeal for me)
You are correct - if a donor has multiple solicitors, and a solicitor is assigned to the constituent for a specific fund/appeal/campaign, then only that solicitor is auto-filled when a gift with a matching campaign/fund/appeal is entered. For us, however, the solicitors are assigned to donors, and we want all gifts to be counted toward that solicitor's performance, so we leave campaign/fund/appeal blank. In cases of multiple solicitors, if we added all campaigns/funds/appeals to all solicitors, we'd still get all solicitors auto-filled in batch. The problem here is the auto-fill function - it adds all solicitors that match, even if we pick a single one through the magnifying glass. We tested this, it doesn't work for us.

If the auto-fill is overriding your specific solicitor selections, Art, you need to report this as a bug. I have never seen it do this.
Why in your case would someone be assigned and not get credit for a gift? How do your staff know who to credit and who not to?
Especially, the data entry person entering gifts through batch should only see active solicitors, not those with a date value in Date To
