Keep User Preferences After Updates

Save & keep user preferences with updated. For example: search query preferences, search checkboxes, column choices, column widths, etc.

    I really hate having to redo my columns every single time.

    Hi, with a recent server upgrade we lost regional settings and local customisations (preferred order of columns on tabs etc). It would be great to be able to save and re-load those.
