Adding consent is a laborious process of clicking through windows (and you can't close the windows with a keystroke). We get large numbers of consents to add to existing constituents' email addresses. We do not have constituent IDs to import the consent into the records, so we have to do it one by one: search for the record, open it, click on consent, click New Consent, fill in the fields, click save, click close, close constituent, repeat). Batch processing would make the process a lot easier. This module should also allow you to change phone types as that relates to consent.
