Need a way to prevent the automated pop-up

Need a way to prevent the automated pop-up of Outlook start window when an email is clicked on

We do not use Outlook. When we click on an email address, the Outlook start window automatically opens, and it takes a series of about 6 clicks to shut it down. A real timewaster when all we want to do is capture an email address for copy/paste or such

Change the phone types to be something else and the hyperlink will no longer be active.
