Ability to control security on specific fields of gift records

It would be very helpful to allow users who cannot otherwise add or edit gifts to modify a few select fields such as Acknowledged Status and Date. This is applicable to stewardship staff who do no process gifts but should be able to update them once the thank-you letters go out.

Additionally, we have a lot of "non-essential" gift attributes that are specific to various fundraising functions in our office. But again, in order to allow a staff member to add a gift attribute, I have to open up the entire gift record. BOOOO!!

We have a few people in various offices who generate our acknowledge letters. I essentially have to "open up" the entire gift record... Funds, Campaigns and all... in order for them to simply mark the gift as Acknowledged. Not good . Not good at all.

I agree! I have interns calling to collect pledges but they can't enter their activiy/results on the gift note without having the ability to change the gift itself. Like that's ever going to happen. Please change this.

Yes absolutely!! Our Finance Auditors would approve of this!

Yes. In my case users need to modify Gift attributes but I do not want them to get access to the entire gift. Ideally there is security on Attribute type this way they can only change the attribute they are suppose to change.

I have a gift processor who enters gifts, and later we'll find out it should be assigned to a particular solicitor. I'd like the staff person making those calls to be able to assign the solicitor without having rights to edit the whole gift - even accidentally, which is my main concern!
