The Raiser's Edge can integrate with Microsoft Outlook, including synchronizing contacts, sending emails directly from The Raiser's Edge using Outlook (either globally or one record at a time), adding emails as actions in The Raiser's Edge, etc. 

Our IT department is switching all network users from Outlook to Google Mail. I will no longer have the functions listed above.
