email gmail

Allow Raiser's Edge to link to gmail through google accounts. Our organization, along with many others has left Outlook for Google Accounts gmail. Having Action reminders come up on the dashboard is not enough of a reminder, making a large portion of Raiser's Edge useless to our organizations needs.

    I agree with the spirit of this suggestion, but would like to see it globalized a bit. My organization currently uses FirstClass as the email client. So we categorize all of our emails as "other" in the table so they don't show up as links on BIO1. Because if they do when you click to try and copy (so we can paste into an email) it tries to open Outlook. But when they are categorized as "other" the emails just display as text, which can be selected and copied into FirstClass. However, with the 7.94 upgrade the "other" categorization will put emails on the "other" tab on BIO1. This is a big problem for us. Perhaps having the ability to display emails as links (or not) would solve this problem.
