Option to re-run Batch Commit Control report
Sometimes there is a problem printing this report - maybe the printer jams or whatever. Typically I export it to PDF so I can print and share as needed. Usually fine. The problem is, I can't pull this report back up if the PDF is lost or the print job didn't go through.
I also have different people who look at this report for different reasons. Some want the summary and some want the detail. I have to pick one or the other.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that this report can't be reprinted. Every time anything goes wrong with the printing, whether it's a printer error or some unknown network glitch, I lose my report and it's just lost. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make it so this report can't be saved and reprinted needs to go back to programming school.

Yes, this would be so helpful. While I do appreciate that some have created good work-arounds in the form of Crystal reports, it would be much simpler if we could just reprint the Commit report.
Absolutely! Occasionally, RE refuses to print a control report and we're stuck with no documentation for the business office.

I created a Custom Report in Raiser's Edge using crystal report to do this years ago. It works great. I would be glad to help anyone who wants to do it. This is a simple crystal report to create.
Changing the status of this idea to Voting Open because it's been reviewed. While not currently planned, this will remain open for voting and future consideration as a change.
Yes!!! It definitely needs to be an option to re-print. Things just happen unfortunately and this needs to be made available.

Yes!!! This! I just want to cry when I accidentally close this report down before printing it. I always choose preview instead of print because I am afraid of having a printer problem and not being able to get the report back. Shutting down the preview without hitting print first happens, though and it's way more upsetting than it needs to be.
I file it with my gift batch documentation (check copies, etc) The other report that is suggested by Blackbaud as a substitute is not the same. It's landscape and usually several extra pages. All that paper is annoying.
Many times this has been a problem for us here.
I have lost data because of this same issue. Even if the process available is complicated, and only our data admins can do it, please consider how to make this happen for us!

I have a remedy for this and have had for some time. I created a crystal report to replace the batch commit report. It works very well. I would be glad to share it.

Yes Please change this all we really need is a report that we can use to rerun the control reports and the GL reports.
You can create a crystal report to do this. I have one and have used it for several years
With 7.94 this has apparently (I'm not running 7.94 yet) become more important than ever. Pre-7.94 you could configure the batch to preview the report and in that preview you could then make changes to the print configuration if needed (change which printer etc.) and then reprint the preview. With 7.94 you MUST make all printer configuration selections BEFORE you preview. You will not be given an opportunity to change any printer configuration after the preview has been generated.
