The default font on RE is quite small. Currently the only way to enhance the font is to change your entire resolution and display on the computer which will distort other aspects of RE. It would be great if there were a way to change the display font in RE without having to change the entire display of one's computer.
I have a visually impaired volunteer using the database and whilst she has changed her Windows settings to be able to view database view better, unfortunately her mouse still appears really small and in white (she needs it black) when in database view. It's ridiculous. I don't know why it's taking BB so long to migrate everything to nxt.
For the amount of money is spent yearly on Blackbaud we, your clients, should have the ability to change the font size so that it is readable. Raiser's Edge is designed to be a leader in the industry and be a valuable tool for fundraisers. However, if my team is making data entry mistakes because of one simple reason, they cannot see the screen, this product is not worth it. You do not need to give your current client's anymore reasons to move away from Blackbaud and seek a database system that is functional for its users. If you do not have the IT staff, hire them, if you don't have the software, get it! Make this happen for your valuable clients before we are gone.
I had to BUY a larger screen to be able to work in the database view because the fonts are so small! It seem crazy that this can't be remedied without changing the entire resolution of my work laptop!
Yes!! Especially with screen sharing during virtual meetings, it is almost impossible for viewers to tell what I'm looking at.
Wow! there have been complaints about the font size since 2016. Has there been ANY response from Blackbaud on this? I'm regretting renewing our contract. Donor records on database view are so hard to read, my eyes are killing me. No time like the present to start answering those calls and emails from competing database companies. Maybe they will address the ADA font compliance for web/online use. I'm struggling to get my work done.
Thankfully changing my screen resolution helped, but even then it's too small, really. I second the commenter who said it's ironic that this significant accessibility issue hasn't been resolved when the software is primarily for non-profits.
With every update, the teeny tiny words come back. We have to go back to a former version. Could the words please go back to what they used to be instead of the teeny tiny ones? They were never very large, but in the last year they've been so much smaller. This is in RENXT.
this is such a basic feature which serves tons of people regardless of whether they are visually impaired - even if you have perfect vision you might just be using a different display and want to be able to read without squinting!
I agree 100%. Especially, in RENXT the webview fonts are readable but in database view they significantly reduced. I attempted to change the resolution on my computer and it did not affect Raisers Edge in database view. The only thing that worked was adjusting the MS display DPI to 125% but it also cuts of some of the action screens that pop up in Mail, Online Express form creation, Exports, Queries, etc.
We just starting using ImportOmatic. When I access IOM, my RE database view reduces drastically.
The ability to change the font size would be wonderful. The old eyes aren't what they used to be!
Agree 100%. Even changing the resolution on my computer does not affect Raisers Edge. I find the whole user interface to be awkward and either too spaced out or too cluttered compared to other CRMs I have used (including Blackbaud CRM). Also, surprised Blackbaud is not offering accessibility options for people with visual disabilities.
This would be a game-changer for me! I've been squinting, craning my neck forward, anything I can do to see those tiny characters. It would be a dream to be able to manage font size without distortion. Thank you for considering this!
Yes to all of the below! I'm in my early 40's and do not need bifocals (yet!) However, RE is rendered completely useless when trying to use on at home laptop and even in office the font is very small. Using work around options is not a satisfactory "solution" to this glaring issue. Please find a way to fix we would all be so pleased! Thank you!
This is a major accessibility issue. It's disheartening that this hasn't been resolved, especially with the stake RE has in non-profits and "good" works. It affects bread and butter users every single day.
The font size is incredibly small. It would be wonderful if this issue would be given a top priority!
For those of us with vision impairments, this is absolutely an accessibility issue.
Absolutely! This is still a problem!
Since it has been reopened, but I can't vote twice - Just want to reaffirm that this idea should be implemented.
This would be fantastic. I get eye strain looking at this site!
Updating the status of this idea to Voting Open since it's been reviewed and combined with similar ideas. While not planned yet, this will remain open for voting and future consideration as a change.
