The ability to globally set all membership records to show active memberships (or whatever standing) and then be able to order the various types of memberships in a particular order.  For example, Set all records to list active memberships first and then within active memberships to be able to order those active memberships in a particular order.  This would allow me to push the membership from which I am trying to draw information always to the top when I am doing mail merges which have to be done via constituent.
