On the Bio 1 tab, have a "Do NOT send mail" option. This would help us so much! Some of our constituents are elderly and reside in nursing facilities--it is inappropriate to send mail to them. Some others request no mail. Thank you!

Users should be able to easily see if an address is marked not to be mailed to from the bio 1 tab. This is important because not all users know to check on the address tab. Users might go into the record and grab the address that is visible in the Bio 1 without checking if there are any holds on is. Anywhere the address is visible the warning should be as well. Currently I am creating blank addresses as the 'preferred' in order for sensitive addresses not to show up on the Bio 1. This makes a big mess and its harder to identify constituents in the search when we don't see address details there.
Perhaps your organization uses the field differently, but I believe this is what the "Solicit Codes" field is intended for. In Mail, you have the option to exclude based on solicit codes.
