When opening each participant to review their guests and make sure that they are seated accoring to what they paid for..after opening up one registrant and closing, the system brings you back to the top of the list. You have to continue to scroll down to get to the next person you are reviewing. Wish the curser would just stay where you have left off so that no one is missed during the review process.
Changing the status of this idea to Voting Open because it's been reviewed. While not currently planned, this will remain open for voting and future consideration as a change.
Yes! I have found this rather frustrating too.
I agree! The one thing I discovered that makes this a little better (although I still vote to have it hold the place where you've scrolled to) is to use the little blue arrows while in the participant record. You can navigate to the record directly before or after the record you are in this way. Just make sure to save and not save and close, or you lose your place all over again.
Yes, this is a very frustrating problem! I have found the forward/back arrows do not work for me in this instance if I am trying to track through a particular group or family because they may not follow alphabetically.
I agree - I would love to just save and stay where I am when saving in the event module!!!!! Please make this change! It's so time consuming when you have hundreds of people registered for an event!!!!
I have wanted this for years! Please. It is so annoying.
This would be great too for entering whether individuals have attended an event. You have to individually click on each participant to reflect whether they attended or not. Such a helpful tool if this can happen!
Carina, which version of RE are you using? There is an option to bulk mark participants as attended or unattended for some time now. Cant remeber now which version or patch introduced it.
Agreed - Carina, while this is a valid problem that needs to be solved - it should not be an issue when marking constituents as attended since that can be done in other ways than opening and closing each record. Under tools you can use the "update participants" tool which has been around for many, many years. But there is also a mark attended option on the newest version of RE which is even easier. You may want to go to knowledgebase and look this up and see which way seems to suit you best.
100 percent agree.
during clean up and review process this is troublesome for me.
I sort and filter all sorts of ways but it always brings me to the top.
So frustrating, i agree with this suggstion whole heartedly!
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!!!
Excellent suggestion!!!!!!!!!!
This would be a blessing and a big time saver.
This would be so simple for a programmer to fix...yet it hasn't been addressed since posting a year and a half ago...simple changes like this that should not even be required in the first place would make a world of difference to your users.
When will this ever get fixed?! It's stupid little things like this that make your products so frustrating to use. They could be amazing if you just had some staff dedicated to making these type of simple programming changes. I for one would recommend your company and software often if only you were responsive to you customers-instead it takes more than a year for simple things to be addressed.
I don't think things so small will get ever fixed. They can't even get the big ones right. I had buckets of cases reporting bugs and the only outcome of these was to post them here as "ideas"... a lot of what's here are not ideas - they are bugs and should be fixed.
Yes!
This would be a GREAT improvement for the Event Module.... Please look into this RE.
Please fix this RE! With large scale events this problem is enough to make someone resort to the use of spreadsheets and avoid using the event record all together.
