Currently when limiting a Security group's visibility of constituent gifts you have to manually check all boxes for funds you don't want them to view and new funds are defaulted to users being able to view them. We need to be able to use Queries to filter gift security by fund that security groups can see. Financial Edge does this, so why doesn't RE do this? So I know it can be done.
So the process would be this:
1) I create a query that filters funds on "type" or "category" whatever the variable.
2) Go into Security groups and limit Gifts by fund based on the query.
Another topic but same concept... I need to be able to limit visibility of constituent records based on a query too in Security Groups. Again FE has similar functionality per user, why doesn't FE?
This type of security is huge for us at my organization, and the capabilities in RE are pretty subpar (compared to other places in the system). We NEED to be able to set this up with certain view/edit rights restricted by query. Additionally, there should be a canned report you can run to show which funds are restricted and how (view/edit). Additionally, this tiny window needs to be bigger and include fund IDs, not just names.
