In the Duplicate Constituent Management tool it would be useful to change the infomation viewable on the main merging page, like you would change what output you would see in a normal query.

eg. I would add primary education details and hide the gifts section as I regularly have to open records to see if the records are the same person based on their education details

I believe being able to change what is viewable would make merging records a lot quicker.
