Give all windows that open when working RE the ability to be maximized
Very frustrating when working and unable to see all of data in field on screen due to small size of window.
Window at least needs to be large enough to see all of data. Would like option to set a default size
Please, please, please address some of these basic quality-of-life issues. Monitors are much higher-resolution now, so not only are these windows small, they're effectively getting smaller every year.
753 votes and it's been open since 2016?? I've seen ideas with 1-3 votes move to shipped. Why do ideas with a much broader impact to more users sit for years?
I would love it if the proposal window would retain the setting when I narrow the left side menu to be able to see more of the proposal detail on the right. It is frustrating to have to resize this with every proposal.
Changing the status of this idea to Voting Open because it's been reviewed. While not currently planned, this will remain open for voting and future consideration as a change.
Each window resize would need to be addressed separately, so this very likely wouldn't be addressed all at once. Please note that this idea only represents the ability to maximize windows within RE, so doesn't include changing font size or other visual changes. For those, please vote on or create separate ideas.
It would be nice if the size of RE in general could be customized as well (similar to how ctrl+ will increase individual browser screens and ctrl- will decease). We shouldn't have to change our screen settings to make RE screens larger and readable. It becomes very tiresome looking at 6-8 point font all day long.
Agreed - even if not maximized, they should be resizable and user preference for that resize retained for subsequent uses of the Window.
The most painful one for me at the moment is the Search dialog for Constituent Search, as:
a) It does not appear to be possible to affect the Enhanced Search (per conversation with Blackbaud), an d, even if it was, I think it would affect all other users.
b) In order to add fields (in my case, Import ID is a desired output), it is necessary to use classic searches (unfortunately this seems to mitigate "fuzzy" search - if other know differently, please correct my interpretation). Given the number of fields I need, this results in scrolling, which is time consuming, especially if you need to scan multiple records.
c) While it is possible to open each record to look at fields I'd need to check, this results in the closure of the Search dialog (see Keep Constituent Search Box Open After Opening Record), which means that if multiple records need to be investigated, it becomes very time consuming.
A solution to this issue, the Constituent Search Dialog Closure issue, or both would be very useful.
I agree with this suggestion, esp. for the Mailing program. I can't see my entire titles in the query, appeal, package, output query etc field , even though I try to prune their length.
I have added an idea as below. They might be able to link it in with yours
When opening a constituent record, it is displayed in the centre of the screen. You can move it using the navigation bar, but the next record goes back to the centre again. Can it be set to hold the position you move it to i.e change default position
I most especially have this issues in select fields when filtering. If I have "include slected" and click on the binoculars to select certain campaigns or funds - the list is too long and the window too small.
I also encounter this in fields where no matter how big the window is the field does not get bigger. Most especially in addresses where the list of phone numbers will display only 4 rows no matter how big you make the window. there is just a bunch of grey area wasting space at the bottom.
Yes please
The lack of resizing windows, is more than bewildering, it is frustrating.
Yes, PLEASE make this update.

Yes, please!!!
I vote YES!!! I don't know how to do it on this page, but please add my Yes vote to your count!
At least maximize the window where you pick the funds
This seems perilously close to an ADA issue...
This is the single biggest frustration I have with RE database view.

We may want to be more specific and list those where this happens that it is the biggest pain.

so true!
