Gift Search on the records page should allow you to search through gifts using the receipt number. It should also allow gift date, fund, letter type, you know anything actually useful (searching based off Constituent Name doesn't make sense to me, you would just use constituent search) but it should be feasible to allow searching for a gift based off receipt number.
