Querying on Packages

When I am setting up a query that includes criteria on packages, I would love for them to show in a drop down box so that I can easily select the package I want to include based on the appeal I have chosen. Instead, I spend a lot of time going back to check the exact spelling of the package (including spaces and dashes) so that I get the proper results.

    I think every single user at my last place of employment could have used this, and I can definitely say that every user at my current employer wants this. I have been dreaming on package drop down menus for 6 years :)

    I agree with Katherine. It would be GREAT to be able to turn this field into a look-up field (table).

    Absolutely! A drop-down shows up when you add a package to a gift. Not sure why the same drop-down can't show up when you're creating a query.

    I agree this should be issued as a fix. I have found a workaround though. In packages, you can set a "package category." Package Category can be queried on in a dropdown menu, which makes life a lot easier. The catch here is that Package Category lives outside of appeals - so different packages in different appeals can have the same category, so you'll want to be careful how you query on them.
