I personally think this could be handled two different ways, but still have some of the functionality of being able to filter out the different phone types as well.
Create a View all tab where you can see all phone numbers, emails and links listed.
OR
Revert back to the old way we used to see the phone numbers, emails and links all in one list. Then by stealing the idea that is currently used on the gift and attribute tabs, where you have the filter drop down “Show”. Then your “Show” options could be by phone, by email, by links, by fax or other.
If other orgs operate the same way we do, when we go to a record to look at contact info, we most likely are trying find phone and email. With separate tabs it's annoying to have to do extra clicking when we are used to just seeing it in one pane. Plus the extra clicking is just inefficient.
