Add Alias and Sort Name fields on RE fund record

Fund often have complex names, so would like the ability to use an Alias field to enter alternate names for the fund and a Sort Name so we can enforce the sorting of the fund name would be very helpful.

Sort name would definitely be helpful. I have worked around this by adding a Sort Name attribute, which works pretty well. But I can definitely see good use for an Alias or other Note field to capture the information.

Often what we may call a batch isn't appropriate in the description field since it is often a merge field.

Sort name would be super helpful. Especially when there is a donation page in BBNC where you manually add several funds for the drop down menu. There is no way to alphabetize them without removing a bunch and re-adding them. Donors expect them to be in alphabetical order.

Julia raises an excellent point! I don't work on the BBNC side of things, but this makes the need for some sort of sort name even more compelling!

Ability to enter an alias for a fund name would be very helpful. Also want the ability to sort the funds not just by the first letter in the name, so Sort Name would also be helpful.

Being able to sort on something other than the first letter would be really helpful.

Fund names have aliases too - Often fund names use a person's middle initial in the formal title but you don't refer to the Frank M. Smith Fund, it's Frank Smith.

Although some funds might have long names, it's easier to refer to them by an alias. And sorting by name field would be a huge help.

We're currently using an Attribute field for Fund Sort Name, but this would make more sense.
