Add new Pay method fields
We would like to be able to compare pay methods through different channels ie text, online and personal cheques, CC etc but because the pay method field is hard coded we can't change this and have to put online donations down as Vouchers and then the agency it comes through. It would be great if we could add Online and still have the agency option as we have several online donation channels. At the moment we have online and text donations under Gift Sub-type but it makes it difficult to do like for like comparisons under standard reports.

I would prefer EFT to the specific PayPal and Venmo honestly because then you can also include ACH or various EFT affiliates which deposit the money directly into our accounts. Please ADD EFT! Prayer hands emoji.

In Raiser's Edge 7 one option for Payment Method was Stock/Property yet in Raiser's Edge no such option exists. It seems as though this option was not brought over. A good number of our constituents transfer stock to our organization. Also a number of (matching gift) companies are wire transfer money into our account. They are getting away from issuing matching gift checks. These two options should be made available to your clients and added to the payment method drop down menu.
One more vote for the ability to add methods here such as ACH, Apple Pay, etc.

Agree with the comment that htis should be a user defined table. Too much ends up in "Other" right now and we have to sift through...not helpful.
Agree, why are ACH, Wire transfer, Stock transfer not included in payment methods and why is this hard-coded? Should be editable.

I use pay method to run queries for posting to Financial Edge. Since we have so many different channels ACH donations come from, such as Network for Good, Frontstream, Cybergrants, Benevity, Your Cause, I query by these and the deposit date to get the batch for posting. I've had to resort to adding these payment processors as "Bank Names" and using Direct Debit since we rarely get DD donations. It's inaccurate and inelegant and shouldn't be a necessary workaround. None of the other workarounds Blackbaud has suggested work for me.
