Improving the Constituent Finder after the 7.94 upgrade

On the main dialogue box for finding a constituent, you let us search for a person by phone number, or by email address. How about adding a search by Links, Fax, and Other? Imagine having only a twitter handle, and being able to quickly find a constituent because the link to their twitter page ends with their handle? In my "Other" section, I plan on storing old cross-reference account ID's from legacy systems. It would be wonderful to type in an old DonorPerfect ID and have the right Raiser's Edge constituent pop up.

    In two jobs now, I've had separate systems with separate IDs. I have repurposed the SSN field to store the ID from the other system so that I can more easily cross reference between the two databases. I have never been in a situation where we would have actually stored a SSN, so why not? The nice thing is that you can look up and import using that ID. It has turned manual projects that would realistically never get done into 30 minute, pretty simple imports. Maybe you could use your old DonorPerfect ID for that field?
