When adding a number custom field, add options for the formatting of that field, i.e., a currency value, decimal place or percentage value. Custom fields are used for so many purposes across records, and as these are custom, they have such unique uses with different organisations. It's frustrating to use a text field just to be able to include % values or values with a decimal point.
