This idea is for Raiser's Edge NXT.

The Opportunity Reason field (located in the insight designer dashboards) is the same as the Giving Category field in a proposal in RE classic.  We've been telling our gift officers that they can't edit the giving category in RE NXT because the field doesn't exist, so they have to switch back and forth between RE NXT and RE classic to edit this field.  They prefer to stay working in RE NXT and so they end up not entering that information and that affects reporting accuracy.

Having found this field in Insight Designer, it's clear that the data exists in RE NXT already, we just need to make it visible in the opportunity section of a record.
