In NXT, display matching gift payments received in list of gifts on individual's Giving History tile
Currently, you must click "work with gifts" in the giving history tile to see matching gifts that have been received for an individual donor. Ideally, the list of gifts accessed through clicking "work with gifts" should be the same as the list of gifts in the Giving history tile. In the database view, matching gift payments show up on individual donor records without the need to soft credit.

All of our MGOs keep telling me our giving tile is wrong or missing gifts. Why wouldn't this show up on the donor's record? Crazy that we need to vote for this...
I would also like to add that the matching gifts are not included in the giving total tile. However, if there's a soft credit recipient on the matching gift, the total includes matching gifts. We have recently had gift officers who are using that giving total tile accidentally give donors wrong giving total information because the didn't realize that matching gifts were not getting credited to the donor in that total.

Yes. The current layout of the tiles and link names is very confusing for frontline fundraisers. Matching gifts should be viewable in the Gifts tile without having to click on "Work with Gifts." This terminology--"Work with Gifts"--suggests that one desires to adjust a gift or change some other information about it (such as whether it's acknowledged or who is soft credited) not that clicking on these words will simply open the full and complete giving history of the donor. As a result, fundraisers do not click on these words and instead wonder where the matching gifts are and request them to be soft credited to the donor--which is NOT how matching gifts work in RE.

This needs to be corrected by Blackbaud. This is not how matching gifts are designed - you should not require a soft credit in addition to the matching gift (which is linked to the constituent already). It is misleading to fundraisers who are using the NXT record and often do not know to click on 'work with gifts' to expand.
This has been an issue with NXT for how many years? A solution needs to be found.
100% agree. In order to see the matching gift and payment in the Giving History tile, you also have to soft-credit it to the donor, which doesn't make sense with the way a MG is designed to be entered. If it shows on the "Work with Gifts" expanded selection, it should also show in the Giving History tile. Our frontline fundraisers get confused as to why this happens. Giving the answer "that is the way BB has designed it" is not very reassuring!
