Standardized gift reference field options
It would be great for the gift reference field to auto-populate based on common text, or a drop down option in order to standardize entries.

I think that you may find that there are some other options for this kind of entry like attributes. Although probably none for any auto-population.
I will say though that I think the beauty of the reference field is that it is free text.
