Audit trails

We would like Raiser’s Edge to have the means for us to monitor user access to constituent records (eg celebrity records). Similarly a much more granular audit trail of user activity on RE (ie exactly what users are adding/amending/deleting and when). Also a more granular audit of additions/changes/deletions of security rights on configuration.

It is absolutely essential that we're able to see who is adding or editing gifts in web view and it is hard to comprehend that this isn't a feature. As a manager of a Database Team, I have to login to Database view every time I want to see which of my team I need to speak to about a gift. It should be something we can pull into lists for reporting and exporting.

YES. The fact that RE does not have any kind of audit log feature is mind-blowing and a tragedy. Our auditors regularly ask for that kind of info, and we have to just tell them there's no way to pull that from the system. Never mind the auditors... it would be helpful from a DBA and/or management perspective to be able to identify staff who need additional training, processes that need refinement, etc.

An audit trail would not only be beneficial, but imperative in a regulated environment with many users.

We could benefit from an Admin audit trail within constituent records, especially for gifts. Our organization has US and International offices with multiple users. Due to our time zone differences and serving 7 different ministries with multiple staff, attempting to correct user errors in data entry is guesswork without an audit trail capability. "Properties" within the database view only shows the most recent change, not a history of changes. We use QuickBooks for accounting which provides a quick and easy audit trail - something like this would be great! Thanks BB.

Is this available for hosted users? I've tried to get other plugins in the past, but BB will not support any of them if we are hosted with them. Doesn't make sense!
