We require the solicitor in RE so we know who actually made the move (in case someone else is logging it for them). It would be great to also be able to enter the solicitor in an action on the mobile app.
I initially wanted this because the test action I added did not add a solicitor, nor did it allow me to choose one.
After the road map webinar yesterday I heard Jenn say that the mobile App should add a solicitor if the user's account is linked to a constituent record. Initally mine was not. After linking my user with my constituent record, the action auto added me as a solicitor.
I still think it would be good to choose solicitor, but not as important as the first need I had that is now resolved. (Thanks, Jenn!)
Frankly - this brings up a larger issue with the fact that a note allows for an "author" who does not need to be a solicitor. Not all of the people who add actions to my database are solicitors, but the only place to record visibly who "took the action" is the solicitor field. Which requires me to make users in my database solicitors just so they can add actions. Not good.
I just need to say it...There is so much wrong with the regular database - It pains me greatly to see mobile app suggestions with 71 votes go into discovery.
It'd be great to filter by solicitor as well.

I have made solicitor a required field on all of my actions - I wonder how it will behave if you can't add it via the app.
Hello,
My name is Neil Lauri and I work with Product Support for The Raiser's Edge. Have you tried Knowledgebase Solution www.blackbaud.com/kb/index?page=content&id=BB738551
Neil - am trying to read this KB solution and it is making zero sense to me.
Yes, Jenn mention those steps in the road map webinar in November.
