Calculate volunteer hours by entering start and end time

We would like to integrate our volunteer records with The Raiser's Edge by using the volunteer module, but we are holding off on doing so because we need to be able to enter start and end times for volunteer shifts and have The Raiser's Edge calculate the hours. We have been checking in for several years to see if this functionality has been added, but no luck so far.

    We would LOVE to have this functionality!! A report that displays ONLY total hours for each volunteer from x date to y date. How can something so simple not be available.
