When I create new thank you letters for each event, I have to pull the fields each time even though they are identical or nearly identical to other letters. It would be nice if I could have a template of frequently used fields (not favorites!) so that when I build my export it won't take so long...and I am less likely to forget a field.
Create one for yourself. :) Instead of recreating every time I will often open the export that has the data I want to use again and just save it with a new name.
Just make an export with the fields you want . Name it "field template" or something and open to get fields and then Save As with your name.
JoAnn makes a good point - however, the problem I have had with this is that if you do it too many times, the export becomes corrupt. If it is corrupt, you will not know until you have completed it and try to run it - and, as in my case today, that means a whole days work all for naught. The only solution is to recreate. It is very frustrating!
